What do the best public speakers, athletes, and comedians have in common?

They all review their past performances to see what they can improve on.

After every post you publish, you’ll be able to see:

  • The number of recipients

  • Open rate

  • Clicks

  • Unsubscribes

  • Top link clicks

  • And spam reports

With that data, you can measure each post to the next to figure out what’s working (and what’s not working).

You can also track how many clicks each link gets. This is important if you want to report to your sponsor partners about how their ads performed in your newsletter.

I almost always take a quick scan of open and click rates a few hours after my post is published. If the open rates are abnormally low, I know I could’ve written a better subject line (or maybe it was a special holiday).
